A poll released Wednesday puts Vice President Kamala Harris within 2 percentage points of former President Donald Trump's approval rating in four battleground states that could decide the 2024 election.
of Fox News Poll Harris had slight leads in Arizona, Georgia and Nevada, while Trump narrowly beat her in North Carolina.
In Arizona, Harris received 50% of the support compared to Trump's 49%.
In both Georgia and Nevada, the vice president carried himself by two points over his Republican opponent (50% to 48%).
In North Carolina, Trump holds a one-point advantage over the Democratic candidate, 50% to 49%.
The findings, all within the poll's margin of error, suggest the race remains close in the four key Sun Belt battleground states with 10 weeks to go until Election Day.
President Biden won Arizona and Georgia by less than 1 percentage point and Nevada by just over 2 points in the 2020 election, while Trump beat Biden in North Carolina in 2020 by just over 1 percentage point.
In the four battleground states, a total of 49 electoral votes will be at stake: 16 votes each in North Carolina and Georgia, 11 votes in Arizona, and six votes in Nevada.
The Fox News poll was conducted between August 23 and 26 after the Democratic National Convention in Chicago, when Ms Harris' approval rating was expected to rise.
The Trump campaign denied the poll results.
“It's that time of year again: Fox releases a terrible poll,” the campaign said in a statement.

The campaign noted that the network's polls “were off in North Carolina, Arizona and Nevada” during the same period in 2020, and said its only 2020 poll of the state, released in June of that year, “overstated” Biden's support in Georgia.
“President Trump continues to outperform polls from this past election cycle,” the campaign added. “According to Fox, President Trump is 10 points ahead in Arizona at this point in 2020. Similarly, in Nevada he is eight points ahead of his 2020 polling and in North Carolina he is five points ahead of his 2020 polling.”
“We're seeing the same trends across the country.”
