Harris campaign announces $310M fundraising haul in July

Vice President Harris’ campaign announced Friday that it had raised $310 million in fundraising in July, bringing its campaign treasury to $377 million.

The campaign said July’s fundraising figures made it the highest-ever grassroots fundraising month in the history of a presidential election. The July figures include money raised before Biden dropped out of the race on July 21, when the vice president announced his intention to seek the Democratic presidential nomination.

That includes $200 million raised by Harris in the week after her announcement.

The campaign said two-thirds of its fundraising in July came from more than 2 million first-time donors.

Additionally, the campaign said 94 percent of donations were under $200 and included more than 10 times as many Gen Z donors in July.

Former President Trump’s campaign said Thursday that it raised about $139 million in July, giving it a total of $327 million in cash on hand.

The Harris campaign also announced Friday that the Biden campaign, now the Harris campaign, has raised $1 billion since Biden began his reelection bid in April 2023. Biden handed the Biden-Harris fundraising committee over to Harris when he dropped out of the race.
