Vice President Harris covered her mouth and appeared on live television after stumbling while addressing Floridians during an update on Hurricane Milton from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) on Wednesday. It seemed like he told the staff.
President Biden and Harris were briefed by disaster relief officials on lifesaving preparations for Hurricane Milton. They also received an update on the forecast and expected impacts on the state of Florida.
Biden attended the meeting from the White House, but Harris and others attended virtually.
At one point during the press conference, Harris covered her mouth and appeared to be delivering a message to someone else.
“It's live,” I heard her say.
The moment came about 20 minutes after Harris stumbled in her address to Floridians. She kept looking down, seemingly referring to her notes or script.
“To the people of Florida, especially those in the Tampa area: Please take this storm seriously,” she said. “As has been said before, this is a storm that is expected to be historic in size. And I know many of you are tough…and you've all been through these hurricanes before. This will be different.

“I want you to understand that in every way it will be more dangerous, more deadly, more devastating. So please listen to your local authorities,” Harris said. added. “They know what they're talking about. They know what they're doing. And when the evacuation order is given, evacuate immediately. Until it's too late. Don't wait.''
Fox News Digital reached out to Harris' office for comment on the incident, but has not yet received a response.
