Social media users warned that a major IRS labor union's recent endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris was a serious red flag.
The National Treasury Employees Union, a labor union that represents a range of federal employees, including IRS employees, released a statement this week praising Harris for increasing the IRS's budget and endorsing her as a presidential candidate, which X users saw as further evidence that Harris should stay away from the White House.
“The IRS Employees Union has endorsed Kamala Harris. Now you know what she has planned for us. Prepare to pay taxes to death. Vote Trump!” conservative commentator Joey Mannarino announced on X on Saturday morning.

X users saw the IRS endorsement as a bad sign: Conservative digital strategist Greg Price wrote, “If the IRS, the FBI, Wall Street, Iran, Putin, the military-industrial complex, the New York Times, Iran, 100 former McCain interns, and Dick Cheney all want one candidate to win, then for the love of God, vote for the other candidate.”
Commentator and podcast host Comfortably Smaug slammed the Harris campaign for proudly flaunting the endorsement, writing, “The fact that the IRS is unionizing is horrifying in itself, let alone that Kamala Harris thinks endorsing the IRS is a good thing.”
“All of the worst people in the world are supporting Kamala. Weird,” wrote “Being Libertarian,” a prominent libertarian X account.
X-account “The Redheaded Libertarian” asked, “Was Satan unavailable?”
“IRS employees endorsed Kamala,” wrote conservative podcast duo The Hodge Twins, adding multiple red flag emojis.
The Harris campaign did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital's request for comment.
