CNN host Dana Bash said Wednesday in her network's coverage of a town hall with Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris that the vice president did not seal the deal.
“I'll just tell you what I've heard from people I've talked to is that even if her goal was to close a deal, they didn't want her to do it,” Bash said. I'm not sure if she did, and you know, some people ask maybe she's held to a different standard, but that's probably the world she lives in and who she is. People are starting to understand that, but it's a question of legislative priorities.
She further added, “You know her character a little bit more, and questions about her character, about your weaknesses and what mistakes you've made, aren't necessarily answered there.” Any time she can get out there and engage with voters, it's a win for her campaign and they're very happy about that.”
