Fox News host Harris Faulkner on Wednesday irritated Democratic guests and reminded him of many lawsuits over President Donald Trump’s efforts to deport illegal immigrants.
The Supreme Court temporarily suspended the Trump administration’s efforts to use the 1798 alien enemy law to expel members of Venezuelan prison gangster Tren Aragua (TDA) early Saturday morning, saying those scheduled for expulsion are entitled to challenge removal. Democrat strategist Fred Hicks admitted he was not supporting the “anti-oligalkie” tour, led by Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, targeting President Donald Trump and senior White House adviser Elon Musk, but said Americans weren’t happy and encouraged Faulkner’s response. “The reality is, people hurt right now,” Hicks said. “So it’s not about socialism and capitalism as my colleagues. [National Review writer Caroline Downey] I tried to paint that way. Now it’s about who will fight on Main Street. Democrats, we lost the young voters, we lost the working class in the last election, but I think a lot of people realize it’s wrong. ”
“Right now they’re both frustrated, but looking at the numbers, the votes, the left and right, you can see that they’re not happy,” Hicks continued. “Independents aren’t happy, Democrats aren’t happy. The whole woman isn’t happy with what’s going on right now. So there’s a place somewhere. Someone has to talk about it for the real middle class, the working class, and that’s not happening, but it’s frustrating.”
CNN data reporter Harry Enten said Thursday that 45% of Americans said the country is on the right track when it comes to immigration, compared to 14% in the last few months of the Biden administration. After a series of crimes involving illegal immigration, which was President Donald Trump’s long signature issue, illegal immigration became a prominent issue in the 2024 campaign.
“Do you know what’s going on? The guy who just voted to take office faces more injunctions than any other president in history, one of his top two issues, one of the illegal immigrants,” Faulkner said. “I mean, I’m referring to Obama, but some have driven away hundreds of thousands of criminally illegal aliens from this country without a single injunction. “I can imagine those voters not happy,” Faulkner concluded.
