On CNN's “The Source” broadcast on Friday, CNN chief media analyst Brian Stelter declared that Vice President Kamala Harris, the 2024 Democratic presidential candidate, “is the hope and the change and the youthful energy in this race,” and that “her image is more important than what she's saying right now. Her continuing to draw large crowds to her rallies is probably more important than what she says out loud at her rallies.”
While discussing Harris' comments earlier in the day in an interview with local media that she wasn't Joe Biden, host Caitlin Collins asked, “Brian, what's your take looking at that as an observer?”
“I'm surprised she's saying that out loud. By the looks of it, she's clearly not Joe Biden. She's the hope and the change and the youthful energy of this campaign. And to me, her image is more important than what she's saying right now. Her continuing to show up to rallies is probably more important than what she yells at those rallies,” Stelter said.
