Harris leads Trump in YouGov poll for second week in a row

Vice President Harris led former President Trump 2 weeks in a row In a public opinion poll From The Economist/YouGov.

The poll, conducted Aug. 4-6, gave Harris a two-point lead over Trump among registered voters, 45% to 43%. 1 week agoThe poll gave Harris 46% support among likely voters, compared with Trump’s 44%.

Harris has been in turmoil for weeks after former President Biden decided to drop out of the race and endorse her. Harris is now the Democratic presidential nominee and on Tuesday announced Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, a Democrat, as her running mate.

in previous An Economist/YouGov poll two weeks ago gave Harris 41 percent approval, three points below former President Trump’s 44 percent.

In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday morning, President Trump said he was “thrilled” by Walz’s selection.

“He’s a very liberal guy, an amazing choice,” Trump said. “I couldn’t be more excited.”

Ms Harris leads Mr Trump by just 0.1 percentage point, according to an average of national polls by The Hill/Decision Desk, which has her receiving 47.4 percent support to Mr Trump’s 47.3 percent.

The Economist/YouGov poll involved 1,413 registered voters and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
