Harris Makes Pledge to Latinos to Grant Amnesty for Millions of Migrants

Vice President Kamala Harris has promised Latino voters that she will open the border to vast numbers of economic immigrants and offer a share of American citizenship to the millions of immigrants who have integrated into American society.

Harris explained to swing voters of Latino descent why concerns about the economy should be subordinated to her goal of welcoming millions of desperate immigrants seeking jobs. There wasn't.

But these immigration goals are pushed by the Democratic Party's donor base of West Coast investors and Wall Street money managers, and are included in his 82-page economic plan.

On Oct. 10, she spoke at a Latino town hall sponsored by Spanish-language television station Univision.

So my promise to you is that by the grace of God, and hopefully with your support, when I am elected President, I will restore this goal. [2024] I will sign this and focus my efforts on what must be done to ensure an orderly and humane path to citizenship.

And one of the big problems is that we don't have a comprehensive immigration system. [law] It means we are not giving them a path to citizenship rights. Honestly, this is one of my priorities in terms of motivation for what I think I need to do. I think we should be forced to agree that they shouldn't have to live in fear and should have the ability to move forward on a path to citizenship. So that's one of my priorities.

The February 2024 bill was supposed to open U.S. borders to a huge influx of economic immigrants seeking asylum and provide expedited citizenship.

These immigrants will compete for jobs, drive down wages, drive up housing costs, and cause further disruption to the voting community.

Since 2016, blue-collar Latino voters have turned toward Trump and the Republican Party, largely because of Trump's pro-American policies that promise economic development to voters and their families.

This populist pitch partially broke with the Democratic Party's emphasis on ethnic political favors to self-proclaimed leaders of ethnic blocs.

In April 2024, Breitbart News reported on an Axios-Ipsos poll:

public opinion poll Found Among Latino adults,

  • Thirty-eight percent support deporting illegal aliens, an increase of 10 points (28%) since President Joe Biden took office.
  • 42% support securing the southern border by building a wall, an increase of 12 points from 2021.
  • 64% support the president being able to close the border if immigrants are entering the country.

Breaking down the numbers further, Cuban Americans are the most supportive of securing the southern border with a wall (58%), while 37% of “Mexican immigrants and Mexican Americans” support building a wall. There is. 43% of Central Americans support a wall.

Similarly, a June 24 Ipsos poll showed that 47 percent of Latino voters want U.S. government policies to favor Americans rather than job-seeking immigrants.
