Vice President Kamala Harris has said she has resources and a team in place in case former President Trump does not concede in the election.
“We sit here with two weeks until election night. In previous elections, former presidents came out on election night and declared victory before all the votes were counted. What would your plans be if you did it again in two weeks?'' NBC's Harry Jackson asked Harris on Tuesday.
“Well, let me tell you this: We have two weeks left, but I'm firmly grounded in the present regarding the task at hand. And we're going to address it on election night and the day after. And we have the resources and the expertise and we're focused on that,” Harris responded.
Jackson interrupted, “So, are there any teams that are ready? Are you considering that as a possibility?”

Harris says Biden was “honest with the American people” about his mental strength: “He's capable in every way.”
“Of course,” Harris replied. “This is a man named Donald Trump who tried to undo a free and fair election, who still denies the will of the people, who incited a violent mob to storm the U.S. Capitol, and who killed 140 law enforcement officers. A public official was attacked. This is a serious matter. Americans have very serious decisions to make at this time about what the future of this country will be.”
“That includes whether we are a country that values a president who respects his obligation to protect the U.S. Constitution,” she said. “Donald Trump said he would abolish the U.S. Constitution. The question is: Do Americans want a president who understands that America must stand strong as a world leader, or do they want Donald Trump as an individual? They have to make a choice.''These are people who openly praise the dictator.''
She continued to attack and contrast the former president and herself, framing the election as a binary choice between hatred and optimism.

He added: “The choice before the American people is to turn the page on division and hatred, knowing that the majority of us have far more in common than what separates us. We can be optimistic about a new generation of leadership focused on what we have yet to accomplish: uplifting the American people. ”
Harris also answered questions about her support for abortion and whether she had been “honest with the American people” about President Biden's mental decline before withdrawing from the race.

“Joe Biden is very accomplished, experienced and capable in every way that anyone would want in a president,” Harris said.
She said he only had “terrible arguments” and continued to vouch for his abilities behind the scenes.
