Oversight Committee Investigates Biden’s Cognitive State
House Oversight and Government Reform Chairman James Comer expressed that former Vice President Kamala Harris’s testimony could be beneficial in the ongoing investigation regarding an alleged cover-up of former President Joe Biden’s mental decline during his presidency.
During a Thursday briefing, Comer, who represents Kentucky, shared insights with the press before and after interviewing Biden’s former spokesperson, Ian Sams. He labeled this session as “huge” and “explosive.”
“I think that it would be helpful to hear from Kamala Harris. We haven’t decided whether we’re issuing a subpoena or not, but she’s certainly welcome to come,” Comer remarked.
He continued, suggesting that if he were in her position and aiming for a future in politics, clarifying issues now would be wise. “This could follow her throughout her career, seeing as many doubt that Joe Biden was truly in charge,” he added.
Another oversight committee member, Representative Byron Donalds from Florida, previously stated that Harris, along with former First Lady Jill Biden and all other administration members, should be questioned as part of this inquiry into the Biden administration.
Comer acknowledged to Fox News’s Laura Ingraham that the likelihood of Harris receiving a subpoena is, indeed, “very high.”
He also noted that Biden was in the White House “75% of the time” when aides used the autopen to sign documents on his behalf.
“Why not have Joe Biden sign the document right there?” he questioned.
As the committee narrows down interviews with former Biden staffers to just three remaining, Comer provided an overview of their findings so far, having already questioned eleven individuals.
“I think we’re seeing a pattern suggesting Joe Biden was not leading the White House,” Comer stated. He promised further insights regarding the autopen use by the end of the investigation.
