Vice President Kamala Harris has built a four-point lead over former President Trump among likely voters, according to a poll conducted Thursday by Marquette Law School.
The poll was conducted among 879 voters nationwide between July 24 and August 1 and has a declared margin of error of 4.1 percentage points. The poll showed Harris widening her lead among likely voters, with Trump trailing by six points, 53% to 47%.
Marquette University said its voter forecast has a margin of error of 4.7 percentage points and is based on a survey of 683 people.
The poll comes as support for Harris continues to grow following President Biden’s unprecedented decision to drop out of the race last month.
