Vice President Kamala Harris’ decision not to choose Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro (Democrat) as her running mate illustrates how the Democratic Party has become a “cabal of anti-Semitic, anti-Israel extremists,” and that the Harris-Waltz pairing is “the most left-wing pairing we’ve ever had,” Trump campaign spokeswoman Carolyn Leavitt said during the show. Leavitt said he was “surprised” that Harris did not choose Shapiro as her running mate, given his power to tilt Pennsylvania in the Democratic direction. Shapiro was the “obvious” choice, but a concern that continued to emerge was the fact that Shapiro is Jewish and pro-Israel, which could alienate important voters that Democrats need to appeal to.
“Of course it was a surprise. And yet we were preparing opposition research on all of these candidates,” she said, describing Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Walz, the governor of Minnesota, as having a “deep” background.
“Let me be clear, there’s a lot I want to clarify for the American people about his record,” she began, acknowledging that a seemingly random Truth Social post from former President Donald Trump, in which he captioned it with the words “Thank you!”, was a response to Harris’ selection of Waltz as her running mate.

“He’s an extremist, and I think Kamala Harris not picking Josh Shapiro is a sign of just what an anti-Semitic, anti-Israel extremist cabal the Democratic Party has become,” Leavitt continued. “And that’s why she didn’t pick Josh Shapiro. Let’s be honest about it.”
“She picked Walz because he is just as dangerously liberal as she is — the most far-left candidate in American history,” she added.
