Rep. Byron Donald (R-Fla.) said on Fox News Channel's “America's Newsroom” on Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris won't hold press conferences because there's a lack of “substance” in her presidential campaign.
“In the last debate, Kamala Harris proved she's good at winning over people, but she didn't say anything without substance. She avoided the No. 1 question of the American people: 'Are you better off now than you were four years ago?' And she avoided it, because Americans are not better off. That's why there are no press conferences,” Donald said.
He added, “That's why she sat down alone with Dana Bash, and about 30 minutes of what was supposed to be the interview were cut in the editing room and only what she said was shown. This is a campaign with no substance. This is a campaign that's just trying to make things better, but she's in charge. If she wants to make things better, what has she been doing? Where has she been? She couldn't convince Joe Biden. So I expect they're going to try to get the rest of the campaign done with no press conferences, because if she has to talk about substance, if she has to talk about policy, if she has to talk about the terrible economic plan that she put out, that's not going to help the American people's lives.”
