Harrison Butker’s Jersey Rockets Up Bestseller List After Mega-Based Commencement Speech, And I Might Have To Get One

Sales of Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker’s jerseys have skyrocketed, especially following backlash to his commencement speech Saturday in which he encouraged women to embrace motherhood.

Butker’s jersey was lined up on top of teammate Patrick Mahomes in the NFL Shop. bestseller list Thursday.

This list is by no means an official ranking, but the 72 jerseys featured on the first page are among a total of 8,197 jerseys listed in this section. Butker’s prominent position on the list is ahead of Mahomes and other notable stars like newly selected Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley and standout stud 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey. It was at the top.

Butker’s inclusion on the list is highly unusual, as his position, kicker, is one of the least known positions in the league. Not many kids beg their parents to buy them a Kickers jersey for Christmas. But Mr. Butker’s statement and the ensuing outrage sparked a wave of solidarity among his fellow Catholics and the Christian community at large. The outpouring that resulted from many users taking to Twitter to support his remarks, implying that women have been “fed the most diabolical lies” and “should be looking forward to your marriage and children.” I appealed to him in an attempt to fight back against the anger that came out. It’s what you bring to this world. ”

Feminazis came out of the trees to condemn his words, violently misinterpreting his statements as anti-women and fascist. But it’s clear that the majority of these dumb people actually didn’t even listen to him. Because he never condemned women who chose to work or pursue a career. He simply stated that many women are happy and capable of being mothers.

A quick scroll through any modern TikTok feed will show you that he’s right. That’s because women in their 30s are constantly complaining on social media about why they can’t find a man when they’ve been told they’ll have a career for the rest of their lives. And family.

Now, neither I nor Butker are saying that a woman can’t have both. I know many happy and successful women who are both. But what I think Mr. Butker is saying is that women spend their 20s in a “ho phase” and are sold the lie that at the end of it there will be a patient, loving man waiting to marry them. Thing. That’s not the reality for most women.

People may get mad at Butker for telling the truth, but I appreciate his honesty.
