The judge in the manslaughter trial of left-wing actor Alec Baldwin on Thursday scolded the media over foul language in his courtroom. “Let’s have some decency in cleaning up after ourselves,” the judge said.
Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer began Thursday’s hearing in Baldwin’s manslaughter trial by scolding members of the media who had left drinks in the courtroom, causing a disturbance.

“Perhaps now is not the most appropriate time, but there will be one more drink for the media, and one more drink for the ‘war room’ or whatever you want to call it, and no liquids of any kind,” Judge Marlowe Sommer said.
“My staff and county staff are not going to pick up any trash that you can pick up,” the judge continued, “and that goes for the jury assembly room downstairs, too.”
“And now, have some more water, and have the good manners of cleaning yourself up,” Judge Marlowe Sommer added. “Now, I’m sorry I have to tell you that now.”
According to multiple reports, the judge’s remarks were ruled, recorded and put on the record.
