Hayden Christensen and Daughter at Cubs Game
Hayden Christensen recently enjoyed a special outing with his daughter, Briar Rose. The “Star Wars” star, now 44, joined his 10-year-old daughter, whom he shares with ex-partner Rachel Bilson, for a rare public appearance at a Chicago Cubs game held at Wrigley Field.
Christensen threw out the ceremonial first pitch while donning Cubs gear, and Briar looked adorable in her Cubs jersey, hat, and a colorful bracelet—like a miniature version of her mom. During the seventh-inning stretch, the duo even sang “Take Me Out To The Ballgame” together, which was quite a crowd-pleaser.
Christensen, with a microphone in hand, enthusiastically proclaimed, “A perfect Cubs fan,” then cheekily turned to his daughter and encouraged her to sing along, eliciting cheers from the audience. Their duet turned lively, and there was even a playful moment where blue smoke filled the air.
“Let’s do some runs all the way through!” he exclaimed after their performance, which added to the excitement of the game. The league later shared a video of the moment, noting it was an “unplanned flyover,” adding a humorous nod to Christensen’s iconic role as Anakin Skywalker in “Star Wars.”
Christensen and Bilson welcomed Briar Rose in October 2014 after meeting on the set of “Jumper” in 2008, but they separated in 2017. Bilson has often spoken about keeping Briar out of the limelight as much as possible.
In a past interview, she praised her daughter, expressing that she is flourishing and surrounded by love. “We have a very close relationship,” Bilson mentioned, emphasizing the importance of open dialogue between them. It’s evident that both parents are committed to the well-being of their daughter, maintaining a positive co-parenting dynamic.
Interestingly, last year, Christensen revealed that Briar has yet to watch “Star Wars.” “I think I might have waited too long,” he joked during an event, reflecting on the balancing act of being both a dad and a famous actor.
