New Parents Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert Welcome Daughter
Derek Hough and Hayley Erbert just announced the arrival of their baby girl, born right before the new year. They shared the joyful news on social media, revealing that their daughter, named Everly Capri Hough, entered the world on December 29, 2025.
“Every step of our lives has led us to you,” they wrote in the post, accompanied by a touching black-and-white photo of them cradling Everly’s tiny feet. It’s a poignant moment, especially considering the couple’s journey over the past couple of years.
The Dancing with the Stars professionals expressed how their lives have been profoundly changed. “Our hearts have been shattered and our world forever changed,” they added, reflecting on the love they already feel for their newborn.

Everly’s birth is particularly special, coming nearly two years after Erbert faced significant health challenges in December 2023, when she was diagnosed with a cranial hematoma and had to undergo an emergency craniectomy. Reflecting on her journey, Erbert had spoken about the emotional rollercoaster of the last two years, expressing gratitude for the second chance she received.
“I have reclaimed parts of myself I thought I would never find,” she shared, noting her struggle through heartbreak and fear, yet also joy and healing. “It’s been a whirlwind, to say the least. I’m grateful for it all and incredibly proud of myself and my body for everything I’ve endured. What a miracle that two years ago I was fighting for my life… and now I’m here creating life.”
Hough offered praise for Erbert’s strength following her surgery, stating how inspired he is by her resilience. They tied the knot in August 2023 and have been on a journey together since, including touring with their “Symphony of Dance.” It’s a transformative time for them, filled with hope and anticipation.
