In an exclusive interview with SiriusXM, retired Army Sergeant Major Tom Behrens sharply criticized Democratic vice presidential nominee Gov. Tim Walz (D-Minn.) for claiming to be a retired Army Sergeant Major. Breitbart News Daily on monday.
“He’s not,” Berens told host Mike Slater. “He didn’t finish school. [when] He was selected for the E-9 position and signed a memorandum of understanding to complete the academy. [the] “US Army Sergeant Major Academy”
“you [the Army] “Then two years later, the military is investing a lot of money in you. It’s taxpayer money. And if you don’t do it, if you don’t do it, you’re basically demoted to sergeant major and that’s your position. As far as I’m concerned, you’ll never, ever be given that opportunity again,” Berens added.
Berens was supposed to fill in for Waltz in a deployment that Waltz had declined in 2005. The governor knew Waltz would be deployed by March 2005, but then he decided to retire from the Army, leaving the unit without its top enlisted leader. Waltz had been serving as the unit’s interim master sergeant but lost his rank when he retired without meeting the requirements to retain his rank.
Behrens said Waltz “campaigned relentlessly to make the public believe he held a higher rank than he actually did,” even though he is not a retired Army sergeant major.
Behrens first brought Walz’s fraudulent activities to the public’s attention in 2018, when he was running for governor of Minnesota, but it didn’t gain national attention until Vice President Kamala Harris recently selected Tim Walz as her running mate.
Waltz said a man had previously tried to warn the public, but the man tried to argue he was disrespecting “fellow veterans.”
“He’s a military faker,” he said, explaining the different categories of fakes.
“The civilian version is, you buy a uniform at Goodwill, you walk around in it and act like you’re something you’re not,” Berens said.
“And some military personnel have higher ranks than they actually are, some have more medals and ribbons than they actually are, some have military badges that show they’ve served more years, but he fits into that category and he literally did it for political gain,” he added.
“He controlled the Minnesota media and continued to push that narrative,” he added.
“We finally got him on medication and brought him out into the light and now everyone can see him,” he said.
