‘He Shot My Baby Four Times’: Texas Officials Reportedly Accuse 13-Year-Old Of Murdering Girl Over Argument

Authorities accused a 13-year-old Texas native of fatally shooting a classmate after the subsequent debate on the school bus, according to the report.

Filming occurred around Eastern time at the playground of the apartment complex around 5pm on March 21st. According to Baytown Police Station (BPD) press release. Responding officers discovered the teenage girl injured by a bullet and tried to provide emergency medical care before the Medic arrived, police said. Authorities took her teen to a local hospital where she was declared dead.

The teenage girl was Anaya Zachary, 14 years old. According to Click2housetton.

A bystander holding her baby was injured in the shooting, BPD said. The two were taken to the hospital and survived injuries.

Preliminary information showed that the two students had orally disputed on school buses prior to the shooting, BPD said. It is said that a male teenager then approached Zachary on the playground and fired a gun.

Police say the suspect is being held in a local juvenile detention center and faces murder charges. Authorities continue to investigate the incident. The suspect's shooter is 13 years old, Click2houston reported.

“She was a sweet child and a student of honor roll. Yes, wife, no wife. Thank you. This was a sweet baby.

Stanford claimed he learned from his daughter that the two teens weren't doing well. (Related: High school student arrested after shooting down a classmate in the bathroom, officials say)

“She and the little boy got on it on the bus, he got off the bus, he went home, he came back, he went home again.

“He went home, painted all the black masks, put on a black mask, went back and called my baby's name, and he shot my baby four times,” she insisted.

Stanford said he would have spoken to the boy's parents to resolve the issue if he had known the arguments reported by police.

“If I had known there was an argument, I would have gone again who I am, and I would have gone to the parents of a little boy with Anaya to see if this could be resolved because this is always happening, but this doesn't make any sense at all.”

“This tragic incident had a profound impact on our community,” BPD Chief John Stringer said in a statement. “As we continue to investigate, our thoughts are with the victims' families and all those affected by this meaningless act of violence. This case serves as a reminder of the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and the serious consequences of violence.”
