He ‘Wants to Work with All’ of Us

Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R-AK) told Breitbart News on Friday shortly after a meeting between President Donald Trump and the governor at the White House. The president said he expressed his desire to work with all governors with a focus on making the government efficient.

Dunleavy spoke only to Breitbart News via phone shortly after the governor's work session was over.

“He covered a lot of topics, everything from energy to investments to tariffs to doges,” Dunleavy said. “I think his comprehensive message is that whether you're a Democrat or a Republican, he certainly wants to work with all the governors. He says that we have ideas and problems. I told him I could call him whenever I was there.”

“One of his main focuses is to ensure that the government works the way it is intended. This means that things are not hanging from agents or bureaucracy. The state, governor, and others It's lined up to make the opportunity available,” he added.

Trump argued that he is “continually considering ways to ensure that the government is efficient and responding,” the governor said.

“It was an inclusive message, whether it was health and social services, permits, education or not. He focuses on education reform and school choice,” Dunleavy continued. “Everyone has a better government, better responses around us, better outcomes from dealing with government, that was a big message for us.”

Trump has shown willingness to work across the aisles throughout his first month as president, exemplified on a trip to Los Angeles County, which was struck by fire just days after his term, where he was Gav. Gavin Newsom Mayor Karen Bass (D) met in Los Angeles.

“We want to complete something. The way you complete it is by working together,” Trump told reporters as he was standing next to Newsom. . “He is the governor of the state and we're going to complete it.”
