‘He Will Never Let You Down’

Donald Trump endorsed former Army Captain Sam Brown for the Nevada Senate race, all but ensuring Brown’s victory in the Republican primary and a chance to face Sen. Jacky Rosen (D-Nevada) in November.

Trump made the announcement at Truth Social on Sunday night after a signing rally in Las Vegas.

“Sam Brown is a fearless American patriot and Purple Heart recipient who has proven he has ‘pure grit’ and courage in the fight against enemies both foreign and domestic,” Trump said. “Sam is now running for United States Senate in the great state of Nevada in large part because he knows that the evil Joe Biden and the radical left are a threat to our democracy.”

He continued, “Our country cannot endure much longer with this corrupt and incompetent ‘President’ in charge. As your next Senator, Sam will work tirelessly to secure our borders, end immigrant crime, stop inflation, grow our economy, provide strong support for our outstanding military and veterans, protect the Second Amendment which is constantly under attack, and restore peace through strength.”

Trump praised Brown and his wife, Amy, and noted Brown’s injuries while serving overseas when his vehicle ran over an explosive device in Afghanistan in 2008, leaving him severely injured and permanently scarred.

“I know Sam and his beautiful wife Amy, a 1st Lieutenant in the United States Army, very well and I am confident they will continue to make us all proud in the next chapter of their lives as they serve together. Sam has already proven his love for his country by making the comeback of a lifetime despite suffering a horrific injury. Sam Brown has my full support – he will never let you down!”

Brown thanked Trump in a statement that linked his opponent, Rosen, to President Joe Biden.

“I am honored that President Trump has endorsed our grassroots ‘Duty First’ campaign for the U.S. Senate elections,” he said in a statement. “Together, we will work to create a better future for all Nevadans! I look forward to helping President Trump pass his ‘America First’ agenda in the U.S. Senate after both of our candidates win in November.”

“Our message to all Americans is clear: freedom from the Biden-Rosen American nightmare is coming and hope for the American Dream will be restored!”

Rosen is one of the Senate Democrats most at risk in this election, as Republicans seek to end Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) term as Senate Majority Leader.

Brown would be a welcome ally for conservatives in the Senate, which will usher in a new era next year with the retirement of longtime Republican leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky.

Trump at a rally on Sunday Said He told a crowd in Las Vegas, home to many service industry workers, that his administration would not tax tips from people who work in hotels, restaurants and other professions.

His support for Brown was expressed within hours of the rally.

The Nevada Republican Primary will be held on June 11th.
