The House Oversight Committee announced Friday that a markup hearing on Hunter Biden's contempt of Congress charge will be held on January 10th.
Hearing is the first step to detaining Hunter responsible He refused to appear for a deposition summoned in December. If indicted and convicted of contempt of Congress, Mr. Hunter would face the following charges: punishment Up to $100,000 in fines and imprisonment.
- Depositions are standard procedure used by congressional investigators.
- Democrats regularly used depositions in investigations, including the impeachment inquiry of Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) and the partisan Jan. 6 committee.

House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) and Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) said, “Our investigation shows that President Biden has confirmed that family members are using the Biden name.'' “We have significant evidence to suggest that he knew, participated in, and profited from the fraud.” ) wrote in a statement obtained by Breitbart News:

House investigators announced they would investigate the Biden family in November 2022. It was later revealed that Joe Biden had been receiving money from James Biden and Hunter Biden. They also revealed that nine additional members of the Biden family, including two of Joe Biden's grandchildren, received compensation from the family's overseas business operations.
