Heartless shoplifters abandon 3-month-old baby at Walmart

A 3-month-old baby girl was left behind by a group of heartless shoplifters who fled a Philadelphia Walmart to avoid arrest, police said.

A security guard on Byberry Road reported that at around 11pm on Thursday he tried to stop a woman and two men from swiping items. NBC Philadelphia reported.

According to police, the suspects fled, leaving behind a 3-month-old baby girl they had brought with them.

The baby was taken to Jefferson Torresdale Hospital for tests and is said to be in good health.

Police have identified the girl and believe she has been in contact with one of her parents, and while they do not believe the parents were involved in the shoplifting stop, they do not believe the child has any connection with any law enforcement agency. It has not been made clear whether there is. told the Philadelphia Examiner.
