Groundhog Day came early this year in Miami.
The Heat plan to suspend Jimmy Butler again.
He was absent from the team flight on Wednesday, so there will be two games this time. ESPN's Shams Charania reports..
Butler originally planned to join the Heat later Wednesday as they prepare for Thursday's game in Milwaukee, the newspaper reported.
However, Butler will now miss games against the Bucks and Nets as part of his suspension.
Butler's suspension comes less than three weeks after the Heat suspended Butler for seven games after the team cited “multiple instances of conduct that was detrimental to the team during the season and particularly in recent weeks.” It was handed down to me.
Butler told reporters the day before his suspension that he hopes to find “joy” again on the court, but that he probably won't find it in Miami.
In late December, amid rumors swirling that Butler wanted out of South Beach, the Heat boldly issued a statement saying they would not trade him.

However, they recanted that story during the initial suspension period.
“Jimmy Butler and his agent have indicated that he would like to be traded, and we will listen to offers,” the team said.
On Friday, Butler returned to action, prompting his agent Bernie Lee to post a Michael Jordan-style statement saying he was “back.”
Since his initial suspension, he has scored 18, 8 and 13 points in three games, but has only played more than 30 minutes once in those spans.
