Heat vs. Warriors odds, prediction: NBA picks, best bets

Given his toughness and nonsense mentality, I thought Jimmy Butler was far above the sporting cliches.

no.

The former Heat All-Star mentioned “just another game on another day.”

But we know Butler. He is mostly all business, but he definitely knows this is the farthest from another game.

The future Hall of Fame was suddenly forced to leave Miami before the trade deadline after the season was met with the heat of two NBA Finals appearances. Overall, it was a successful term, but it ended badly.

Prediction of the fever vs. Warriors

(7:30pm, TNT)

Put your 35-19 ATS records on the line in this post section and back Warriors as a load favorite. But I don't necessarily think Butler has a monster performance. Rather, I find other reasons for betting.

First, Steph Curry is set to come back and needs to be charged as he missed two of his team's last three games to manage his load. Also, while heat just snaps 10 games of losing streaks, it doesn't necessarily lead to relaxed or flat performance, I think relief is part of the equation.

The Warriors played very well with Butler, climbing to the sixth seed of the Western Conference with a 41-30 record. It seems all the pieces fit. Additionally, they have recently brought role players Jonathan Kuminga, Brandin Posiemsky and Gary Payton II back from injury and have full power.

Andrew Wiggins has just returned from injury and scored 42 points in his latest game, but Miami has been confused since trading Butler.

That's a big boost and I think he'll play well with his previous team. He was part of the Butler trade. His prop bets can provide some value.

Are you going to bet on the NBA?

But overall, the heat struggled as they went through too many scoring droughts and Bam Adebayo appears to be regressing this season and the fourth quarter became Achilles' heels.

I'm rolling with the warrior to cover.

Pick: Warriors -5.5 (-110, ESPN BET)
