Heather Locklear Shares Insights on Life Beyond Hollywood
Heather Locklear is opening up about her life outside the Hollywood scene. Recently, she made an appearance on a talk show, where she mentioned her willingness to join in, even if the show is relatively new, having launched just a month ago.
During the conversation, Drew Hammer, co-host of the show, emphasized the personal connection they share, saying, “You’re a friend, not a Hollywood friend.” Locklear, enthusiastic about her involvement, replied, “No, I’ll do anything.”
Hammer, who is the mother of actor Armie Hammer, pointed out that Locklear’s consistent presence on the show is refreshing, especially in contrast to many Hollywood figures who often find excuses to avoid public appearances. Locklear, reflecting on her choices, insisted she finds no strangeness in being on the show, and stated she prefers companionship with those who resonate with her lifestyle.
“I live very far away, you know. For years, years, like 40 years.”

The discussion continued with Hammer noting that people typically surround themselves with similar individuals. Locklear, in agreement, acknowledged this sentiment but clarified, “I don’t really hang out with people in Hollywood.” Her statement highlights her distance from the industry’s core.
Despite stepping back from her iconic roles in shows like Melrose Place and Dynasty, Locklear has recently attracted media attention due to a new romantic relationship, notably with Lorenzo Lamas. This romance kind of surprised some, I guess, considering her long absence from the spotlight.
In April, a representative for Lamas confirmed their relationship, and they made their first public appearance together at Locklear’s daughter Eva’s wedding. This event took place in Montecito, California, where Eva, 28, married Tyler Farrar, drawing a little more sentiment and perhaps a touch of nostalgia for Locklear.
