Heat’s Haywood Highsmith sued by car crash victim

A man whose leg was partially amputated after being hit by Heat forward Haywood Highsmith in a car crash is now suing an NBA player. According to multiple reports.

TMZ first reported Alexei Pino filed the lawsuit in Florida court on Friday, seeking unspecified damages in excess of $50,000.

On February 6, Pino, 21, was helping a stranded motorist when Highsmith crashed his car into the disabled vehicle, striking Pino, who was standing directly behind him.
