Heidi Klum’s Iconic Halloween Celebration

Is it even Halloween if Heidi Klum hasn’t made a statement? Klum hosted her 24th Annual Halloween Party at the Hard Rock Hotel in New York City, a much-anticipated event known for its showcase of extravagant celebrity costumes.

This year, Klum transformed into the Greek mythological figure Medusa, while her husband, Tom Kaulitz, donned a concrete soldier costume. Klum’s outfit was particularly striking, featuring hand-painted details with green scales that flowed into a rattlesnake tail, not to mention an animatronic snake substituting for her hair.

In an interview, Klum mentioned, “We wanted to explore classic monsters from history and reimagine them in a modern way.” She described Medusa as a “truly iconic figure, both mystical and ferocious,” emphasizing the enduring fascination with her legend of turning people to stone.

Klum shared that the entire process of creating this intricate costume took about nine hours of hand-painting. She had been teasing her look on social media since early October, occasionally posting glimpses of her creepy mask. One post read, “This is just the beginning,” generating excitement among her followers.

During an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s show, she hinted that this year’s costume would be “extra ugly” and “super scary,” building suspense for admirers eager to see her transformation.

Reflecting on her past Halloween costumes, Klum’s creativity has led her to embody a variety of characters, from a female E.T. with Kaulitz to the Wriggling Insect in 2022 and even Jessica Rabbit in 2015.

This annual event has become a highlight of October. Guests this year included Jay Manuel, Maye Musk, and Jonathan Cheban, all there to join in the fun of All Hallows’ Eve with Klum.
