Heidi Klum responded to the backlash over her lingerie photoshoot with her daughter, Leni. “A lot of people aren’t aware of what we do together as mother and daughter,” she said. Klum, who is 52, emphasized her pride in Leni, noting that her daughter is comfortable with their joint modeling work.
Both Klum and Leni, now 21, have collaborated on various advertising campaigns, including for the Italian brand Intimissimi. Klum added, “I’ve always been open about my body. If I’m relaxing in the backyard, I might not wear a top. That’s just how it is for me as a European. My kids know me this way and, perhaps, they are more at ease with their bodies because of it.”
This family collaboration has stirred discussions online. Leni began her modeling career with a significant cover appearance on Vogue Germany when she was just 16.
Reflecting on criticism, Leni noted, “No matter what you do, there will always be critics. I try not to let negativity affect me too much.” Interestingly, she mentioned, “Most comments are in German, and I don’t understand a lot of them. Maybe that helps.”
The photoshoots have drawn a mix of responses. Following their latest ad in October 2024, opinions varied widely. Some people expressed discomfort with the images, questioning the appropriateness of the content. However, there are also those who celebrate their candidness, saying things like, “Two beautiful women! It’s just modeling. What’s the big deal?”
