Heidi Klum Makes Halloween History
Heidi Klum is, without a doubt, a defining figure in Halloween celebrations.
Dubbed the “Queen of Halloween,” she revealed her stunning 2025 costume at the annual gala in New York City, where she morphed into the captivating mythical creature, Medusa.
The iconic Heidi Halloween Party took place at the Hard Rock Hotel in Midtown Manhattan, attracting a familiar star-studded lineup. Yet, it was Klum who stole the spotlight, showcasing a remarkable hand-painted reptilian bodysuit, which featured a massive headdress adorned with twisting snakes.
With sharp fangs and a lengthy, snake-like tail trailing behind her, the supermodel truly embodied the chilling essence of her character.
Her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, fully embraced the theme, dressing as a Greek soldier who met an unfortunate fate—turned to stone. Together, they arrived in a dramatic and cinematic fashion on the blue carpet.
Klum shared her thoughts on the meaning behind her transformation, emphasizing the need for genuine artistic expression in a world where AI is becoming increasingly prevalent. “We still need people creating moments with real people…To me, it’s like beautiful art,” she explained.
“This is only for tonight,” she playfully remarked. “Everything is literally going down the drain in the shower after.” The elaborate look was the result of a dedicated team of 15 artists who meticulously hand-painted every scale and crafted each sinuous detail.
For Klum, the effort is part of the excitement. She’s famously donned an array of costumes over the years, from Jessica Rabbit to Frankenstein, and last year, she surprised many by taking on the form of E.T. from the classic film.
Reflecting on her past, she said, “When I walk on the red carpet, I want people to look at this and think whatever they want to think for the first time.” Klum didn’t want to heighten expectations by revealing from the start what she had planned.
Talking about her Halloween creations is something she enjoys. “They’re a little bit like your children. You love them the same way,” Klum remarked, fondly recalling her favorite costumes, even those that felt a bit unconventional.
In her 2022 ensemble, she transformed into a large worm, which she described as “claustrophobic,” while Kaulitz opted for a fisherman look, complete with ominous bloody details.
With Klum’s knack for surprise, it’s always an adventure to see what she’ll think up next for Halloween, adding to her already impressive legacy in the holiday’s history.
