‘Hell’s Kitchen’ stars say ‘everybody was scared’ of Gordon Ramsay

Gordon Ramsay scared everyone on the set of Hell's Kitchen, according to former contestants who have spoken out about the abusive chef's aggression on set.

Featuring a look at what it was like behind the scenes of the hit cooking competition show, several former stars, including winners Michael Ray and Ariel Malone, take part in the grueling kitchen on Vice TV's Dark Side of Reality TV. Exposes about the environment.

Elsie Rammons, who competed in season one and finished fourth when the show debuted in 2005, claimed that “everyone was scared” on set.

“Let's put it that way. Everyone was afraid,” Ramos insisted.

Ramsay has been on brand for decades with his bold and hot-tempered personality in the kitchen, and even clashed with Lisa Vanderpump. However, Ramos told Vice, “I never expected to meet such a violent bully.”

Tech Moore, who finished 12th in Season 6, echoed Ramos' assertion.

“Chefs know how to verbally disembowel people,” he said.

But only some took heed of the British chef's sudden boldness.

Ray won the first season of “Hell's Kitchen,” winning $250,000 and addressing the accusations against the chef-turned-TV host.

“The people on the show had never worked in a kitchen before, but they all took it the same way,” he said. “They took it personal.”

The same cannot be said for Ray. he recalls. “Gordon, he told me, 'You never tell your employees they're doing a good job.' The moment you tell them that, they stop trying.”

Malone, who won Season 15, takes the same view.

“When you go to karate class, is Sansei the bully or the teacher? It's the same thing,” she said.

“Hell’s Kitchen” has aired for 23 seasons since it first aired in 2005. For the past 19 years, Ramsay has hosted the competition series, which currently airs on Fox. The show spawned several franchise restaurants with the same name across the United States, including cities such as New York, Miami, Las Vegas, Washington DC, and Atlantic City.

The newspaper has contacted Ramsay's representatives.

“Hell's Kitchen'' has been nominated for five Primetime Emmy Awards.

Ramsey has previously addressed his on-screen persona, revealing that the person he is at home is very different from the person he is on TV. The Michelin-starred chef and his wife Tana, whom he married in 1996, have six children. Sons Oscar, 5, and Jesse James, born in 2023. and fraternal twins Holly and Jack, 24 years old.

“I think everyone has good and bad sides,” he says. told the people “I'm very good at highlighting the bad parts that made something incredible.”

Ramsey credits his children with mollifying him.

“The kids brought out the most emotion from me,” he said. “It's funny, because everyone thinks, 'God, you must be an absolute being.' butt We're at home together. ” [But] Tana is a super strong person and a former Montessori school teacher. That's why I'm soft. ”

The Dark Side of Reality TV Ramsay's “Hell's Kitchen” episode will air on Vice TV on Tuesday, October 8th at 9pm ET.
