Help Isn't Coming for the Jewish People

Actor Michael Rapaport has reportedly made headlines after causing harm to a group of 12 people who were protesting in support of Israel, following a recent attack in Boulder, Colorado.

“We stood up. We spoke. But just to clarify, I’m not a spokesperson. I’m here to express my own views,” he said, referencing his advocacy for various causes including women’s rights and issues affecting the Black community. “I’ve discussed abortion rights for years,” he added.

Rapaport expressed a sense of frustration, feeling it was odd to support the cause of Black lives while he perceives that Jewish voices aren’t being heard. “It feels wrong to me,” he said, “to ignore the fact that no one’s really speaking up for the Jewish community right now.”

He noted that people have been approaching him during his travels, expressing concerns about the lack of commentary regarding the situation affecting Jews. “It’s almost like we’re invisible in this narrative,” he remarked.

After voicing his discontent, Rapaport conveyed to the Jewish community that, “there won’t be any external help coming.” He emphasized that no one has reached out to check on how Jewish individuals, like himself, are coping these days.
