Just because Henrik Lundqvist spent much of his NHL career in the Northeast doesn't mean he knows the entire region.
On Monday night when Team USA fell to Native Sweden by Lundqvist, during the TNT four-country showdown, the legendary Rangers goalkeeper discussed the roots of his former teammate in Boxford, Massachusetts. I was tasked with finding Massachusetts on the map.
“He came from the Boston area,” Lundqvist said as he picked up a pin while studying a map of the United States.

Lundqvist signed a one-year contract with rival Washington Capitals after a while, but in January 2021 he underwent heart surgery to repair his leaky aortic valve.
Lundqvist announced his retirement in August 2021.
