Henry SPD Hush Lever Action: Stable, Precise, Modern

Henry SPD Hush: A New Era in Lever Action Firearms

The Henry Special Products Division has introduced the SPD Hush, a lever action rifle that draws inspiration from the Frontier Cowboy rifle, but with a modern, space-age twist. It’s designed to be both balanced and accurate.

One notable change is the replacement of the traditional hardwood forearm with a skeletonized M-LOK version. This new design allows for the mounting of lights, lasers, or any other M-LOK accessories you might prefer.

On top of the receiver, there’s a carbon fiber Picatinny rail that can accommodate a scope or a red dot sight. I went ahead and attached an Aimpoint ACRO to the SPD Hush, which felt solid and well-integrated.

The rifle is also engineered to be compatible with suppressors. In my review, I used a TION Dragoon CQB suppressor, and the performance was impressive—accuracy improved significantly, and it felt even more controlled compared to shooting it without suppression.

The buttstock features a hardwood laminate with strategically placed cavities, which helps with weight distribution and reduces the overall weight.

In terms of capacity, the SPD Hush can hold 4+1 rounds and offers two loading methods: through a tube magazine or a side loading gate. Some components, like the trigger and lever, come with a matte finish that adds to both its aesthetic and operational appeal.

When it comes to the shooting experience, the SPD Hush delivers the reliability and functionality that Henry firearms are known for. Plus, like all their products, it’s crafted in the USA.

In summary, the Henry SPD Hush represents a promising step forward for lever action hunting, combining modern features while maintaining the timeless qualities that make these rifles so beloved.
