"He's a Bad Person" – Trump Responds to Kilmar Abrego Garcia's Return

Kilmar Abrego Garcia Returns to Face Charges in the U.S.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a citizen of El Salvador, has returned to the United States to confront criminal charges related to smuggling illegal immigrants.

U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondy announced at a press briefing on June 6 that they had secured an arrest warrant from the Salvadoran government and coordinated his return. She expressed gratitude to the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, for facilitating this process. Bondy emphasized, “This is how American justice looks.”

Abrego Garcia, who entered the U.S. unlawfully over a decade ago, was living in Maryland when he was apprehended by federal authorities. He was subsequently transported to a maximum-security prison in El Salvador, facing accusations of being part of the infamous MS-13 gang, which has been labeled a terrorist organization.

In response to the news, Donald Trump commented, “The DOJ made a decision… I think their decision was very good.” He described Abrego Garcia as “a bad guy” and critiqued the judicial system, suggesting local judges were overstepping their boundaries. Trump pointed out the need for decisive actions, indicating the judges were attempting to undermine elected leadership.
