The attack coincided with the Jewish holiday of Shavuot (Pentecost), which marks the receiving of the Ten Commandments and the Torah on Mount Sinai. Many Israelis in northern Israel were forced to evacuate. One video shows a family returning from a picnic scattering in bomb shelters, with the father filming and trying to calm the children.
