Hezbollah successfully targeted an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) base with drones on Sunday, killing four people, seriously injuring seven others, and killing 14 more, attacking the base's cafeteria near the city of Binyamina, south of Haifa. I was injured.
The drone is believed to be one of two launched by Hezbollah toward Israel. One of the two planes was not detected or shot down by Israeli air defense systems and crashed into the base. The IDF said it was investigating the incident.
The four soldiers, all 19 years old, were in combat training, The Times of Israel reported. reported.
This incident marked one of the few instances in which Hezbollah's attack on Israel was successfully targeted. Describing the two drones as a “swarm of attack drones”, Hezbollah warned that further attacks would be carried out if Israel did not attack, according to Iranian Press TV. It continues to relentlessly attack Hezbollah leaders and Lebanese border areas.
press tv reported:
It said the operation was carried out in response to Israeli attacks and massacres by “enemies of the Zionists”, particularly in the capital Beirut's Nuweiri and Basta districts and other Lebanese areas.
Hezbollah added: “We assure our enemies that what we witnessed today in the south of Haifa is nothing compared to what awaits them if they decide to continue their aggression against our noble and dear people.” .
In reality, Hezbollah has been significantly weakened by its four-week war with Israel, and its attacks on IDF bases were an unusual and rare success. The IDF has steadily advanced into southern Lebanon, dismantling Hezbollah rocket launchers, uncovering weapons caches and killing hundreds of Hezbollah terrorists in the region.
