Health and Human Services (HHS) Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr. calls for policy changes to call all new vaccines a placebo-controlled trial “a fundamental departure from past practices.”
“Under Secretary Kennedy's leadership, all new vaccines will be subject to safety testing in pre-licensed placebo-controlled trials, a fundamental deviation from past practice,” a HHS spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Thursday.
HHS suggested that, for example, it would be necessary to test the pediatric liability vaccines listed under the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
“With the exception of the Covid vaccine, none of the vaccines on the CDC's recommended childhood schedule have been tested against inactive placebos, meaning they know little about the actual risk profiles of these products,” a spokesperson for the HHS said.

HHS also criticized the current surveillance system, claiming that the CDC does not properly monitor vaccine complications.
“The CDC's previous practices that curtailed information on vaccine injuries have seriously erode confidence in public health agencies,” the agency said.

Kennedy, who has repeatedly stated that the vaccine has not been properly tested for safety, is seeking greater transparency in its testing and approval process.
“Secretary Kennedy's HHS has pledged radical transparency to the American people,” the spokesman said. “This means that we are honest and easy about medical products, including vaccines, what we know and what we don't know.”
