1. Ventura alleges Combs raped her in 2018
Ventura testified recently that Combs raped her at her home back in 2018 following their breakup. During a lunch meeting at a restaurant in Malibu, she mentioned feeling uncomfortable while engaged in what she described as a “closed” conversation, all the while looking at her current husband, Alex.
After their lunch, Ventura claimed that Combs assaulted her at her residence. “Then he raped me in my living room,” she recalled, adding, “I remember just crying and saying ‘No,’ but it all happened very quickly.”
She wasn’t quite sure if Combs was emotional, noting that he ejaculated before she regained consciousness and left the scene. Afterward, she mentioned that they had consensual sex again. “We’ve been together for ten years, and you can’t just turn off feelings like that,” she stated, hinting at the complexity of their relationship post-breakup.
2. Ventura recounted Combs’ threats regarding her relationship with Kid Cudi
She also testified about a brief relationship with Scott Mescudi, known as rapper Kid Cudi, sharing that during their time together in 2011, things weren’t exactly rosy. She recalled Combs threatening to harm both her and Kid Cudi upon hearing they were dating, claiming he would even blow up the rapper’s car.
During a meeting that included Mescudi and Combs, Mescudi asked Ventura about his car, to which Combs responded, showing a casual disregard for the situation. Ventura reflected on how the meeting concluded awkwardly after that exchange. Later, in January 2012, Mescudi’s Porsche was reportedly burned in an incident involving a suspicious device.
The trial continued with the presentation of hotel surveillance footage from a 2016 incident where Ventura was attacked. The video depicted Combs pursuing her after she threw a vase at him, showing a physical confrontation. “I wasn’t attacked. I remember hitting the wall. He threw that at me,” she stated, recalling how Combs exclaimed his determination to keep her by his side during that tumultuous moment.
After the incident, she texted Combs, confronting him about his violent actions. “It’s sick to think it’s okay to do what you did to me,” she conveyed in her message, highlighting her distress and outrage.
4. Combs displayed violence towards employees and friends
Ventura alleged that Combs had also been physically abusive toward his employees and her friends. She recalled instances where he would punch people or throw them into furniture, recounting a moment when he violently shoved a friend onto a patio.
Another incident involved Combs in a foreign country, dragging one of his assistants out of bed for not handing over her phone, showcasing a pattern of aggressive behavior.
5. Settlement of $20 million reached between Combs and Ventura
In a recent lawsuit filed in 2023, Ventura accused Combs of physical and sexual abuse, which led to a federal investigation and Combs’ arrest in September 2024. During her testimonies, Ventura disclosed that they eventually settled for a substantial sum of $20 million.
6. Ventura claimed Combs threatened her with ‘Freak-Off’ videos
Ventura also indicated that Combs frequently threatened to release videos featuring her in compromising situations as a form of blackmail. She recounted a specific instance on her birthday when Combs alluded to one of these videos after she declined to spend time with him.
“I was scared for my career, my family. It was terrifying and disgusting,” she remarked, emphasizing that these threats could jeopardize everything she worked for. “I felt trapped,” Ventura added, revealing the emotional turmoil that accompanied her relationship with Combs.
