Hilaria Baldwin’s Final Dance on ‘Dancing with the Stars’
Hilaria Baldwin made her last appearance in the ballroom on ‘Dancing with the Stars’ this week.
In Tuesday’s episode, she performed a Quickstep with her partner Gleb Sabenko to a piece from “Star Wars: A New Hope,” showcasing her take on Princess Leia.
Her performance garnered enthusiastic feedback from the judges, including praise from Bruno Tonioli.
Although Baldwin achieved a higher score than comedian Andy Richter, she didn’t get sufficient votes from fans to stay in the competition.
“This has been such an amazing experience,” she noted after the voting concluded, expressing gratitude towards her kids and family, and voicing her support for the other contestants.
Some of her children were spotted cheering for her from the audience, though her husband, Alec Baldwin, was absent this time.
He had been present the previous week, visibly supporting her during her performances.
Baldwin delivered a strong show alongside Savchenko during the season’s premiere, with the family cheering her on.
“It’s truly a dream to have my family here,” she shared shortly after her debut.
Before kick-starting her season with a dance to Jennifer Lopez’s “Let’s Get Loud,” Baldwin had been rehearsing with Sabenko, splitting time between Los Angeles and New York.
“Next week, I’ll be bringing Gleb to New York, and I’m really looking forward to experiencing this with my family,” she expressed before her live performance.
Alec, commenting during her rehearsal, mentioned, “She’s a hard worker. This was her life until her injury, so she’s giving it her all. I’m proud of her.”
During a live Cha Cha, a moment where Hilaria and Gleb faced each other caught viral attention, particularly Alec’s serious expression in response.
A week later, Alec was missing during Hilaria’s second performance.
“Alec’s busy with movies and shows right now,” Hilaria mentioned afterward. “He’ll join us next week, but it’s a bit of a juggling act.”
She reflected on how plans shifted, saying, “We had intended to be in New York, and then suddenly, everything changed, leading to this incredible opportunity. I packed my kids in a day and signed the ‘Dancing with the Stars’ contract during our flight.”
While Baldwin received higher judge scores than fan-favorite Richter, the viewer votes did not keep her in the running.
Earlier, she stated that Alec had been “supportive” throughout her journey on the show. “He’s wanted me to participate for quite a while, and he’s thrilled about this,” she remarked. “I’ve supported him too, and I think he’s excited for me.”
Despite her quick exit, Baldwin felt fulfilled. “It’s not just about the dancing experience; it’s the warmth and welcoming vibe of the entire show. I love to dance, and since my injury, I thought I’d never do it again. This journey feels like a closure for me,” she reflected.
“That’s why I’m here. Gleb has brought a technique and mentality that I adore. It’s fascinating how they match partners, we connect in unexpected ways,” she added.
