Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton suggested on a podcast Friday that her nemesis, former President Trump, would be willing to “kill the opposition” if he were re-elected president.
Clinton made the comments on the “Democracy Docket” podcast with host Marc Elias, a Democratic campaign lawyer who served as general counsel for the 2016 presidential campaign. During the meeting, Clinton said Trump was modeled after Russian President Vladimir Putin and other dictators, and said the prospect of returning to the White House was “very scary.”
“President Trump was just kind of gagging on President Putin, because President Putin is doing what President Trump wants to do: kill dissidents, jail dissidents,” Clinton said. , expel journalists and others, and govern without any checks or balances,” Clinton said.
Hillary Clinton claims that if Trump is elected, she will withdraw the United States from NATO. “He means it.”

“That’s what President Trump really wants,” she continued. “So we have to be very conscious of how he sees the world, because in that world he only sees strongman leaders. He sees Putin. He’s looking at Kim Jong-un of North Korea. We’ve come a long way, but we don’t want to go down the same path again.”
Since losing the 2016 election to Trump, Clinton has repeatedly claimed that Trump was at the mercy of Russia and that Putin interfered in the election to ensure her defeat. She predicted that if Mr. Trump defeats Mr. Biden in November, he will seek to withdraw the United States from NATO and rule the United States as an authoritarian.

“My view, having negotiated with President Putin and knowing one of the reasons why President Putin went after me, is that he wanted me to deal with President Putin in an appropriate way and that President Trump basically did what he wanted. “It’s very important to think about what can be done because we knew he would do anything.” Something similar will happen in our world when Trump returns to the White House. Clinton told Elias on Friday’s podcast.
“He doesn’t care what happens to Europe, he takes us out of NATO…The idea that he wants Ukraine to fail. The idea that he doesn’t want us to be able to monitor our enemies. This is a very frightening prospect.” she said. She cited opposition by some Republicans to the Ukraine aid bill passed by Congress and the FISA surveillance reauthorization bill, which President Trump opposed.
