Hillsdale College Launches “Learn Like Charlie” Campaign
During the Turning Point USA (TPUSA) National Halftime Show, Hillsdale College introduced the “Learn Like Charlie” campaign. This initiative encourages Americans to delve into the Bible and learn about the founding of the United States by taking free online courses offered by Hillsdale College—courses that were completed by Charlie Kirk.
A press release from Hillsdale College circulated on Monday, featuring comments from President Larry Ahn, who spoke at Kirk’s memorial service held on September 21, 2025. Unfortunately, Kirk was tragically assassinated on September 10, 2025, while giving a lecture at Utah Valley University.
Arne, an advisor to Kirk, recalled their conversation where he emphasized that true education can be tough but rewarding. He said, “You have to suffer.” He suggested starting with the Bible and reading the classics to grasp the fundamentals of the nation’s history.
Interestingly, Arne didn’t expect to hear from Kirk again after that. “I thought I’d never hear from him again,” he mentioned, but a month later, Kirk texted him a picture of his certificate for completing an online course from Hillsdale College.
The campaign promotes several free courses completed by Kirk, such as “Constitution 101: The Meaning and History of the Constitution,” “Genesis: Reading the Bible Story,” and “American Citizenship and its Decline.” Hillsdale’s press release stated that the launch includes a 60-second commercial where Kirk engages with listeners during the TPUSA National Halftime Show.
In one snippet, a caller mentions, “I’m listening to your podcast. I’m taking Hillsdale’s online course,” to which Kirk enthusiastically responds, “That’s what I’m talking about right now. I love it.”
Overall, the campaign aims to inspire further interest in civic education and encourages participation in free courses covering a diverse range of subjects, including economics, history, politics, religion, and literature.
