Florida Governor Ron DeSantis Announces Hulk Hogan Trail

This week, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis revealed plans to create the Hulk Hogan Trail, honoring the legendary wrestler.

The trail, situated on a two-mile stretch of the Clearwater Trail between Oak Avenue and Coronado Drive, will start from Hogan’s Hangout, a restaurant owned by Hogan’s family in Clearwater, Florida.

“We’re aiming to include various exercise stations along the route, with red and yellow colors,” DeSantis said. “People bike and walk, but there aren’t any pull-up bars available. If you walk a couple of miles, why not do 30 pull-ups along the way?”

“It’s all set,” he continued. “We’re covering everything. It’s an exciting venture. The tribute reflects a commitment to healthy living. Hulkamania, or, well, Hogan’s legacy, is going to last forever, at least in spirit.”

Nick Borea, Hogan’s son, attended the announcement and shared that his father has always considered Clearwater his hometown. “This really makes my dad proud. Regardless of where he traveled for work, he always cherished this community and the people here,” Borea expressed.

Hogan has also been a vocal supporter of Donald Trump and his campaign. At the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee during summer 2024, he delivered an impassioned speech, rallying support after an assassination attempt on Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Reflecting on that moment, he stated, “When I look at Donald Trump, I see how he’s faced challenges. But what happened last week, when they targeted my hero, was too much.”

“Let the Trump supporters unite!” Hogan urged the crowd. “Let’s make America great again!” He added with a smile, “I’m not just Hulk Hogan; my real name is Terry Borea. As a public figure, I usually try to steer clear of political matters.”
