Nicki Minaj, the well-known rap artist, criticized California Governor Gavin Newsom, stating, “His way to connect with Black people is to express how foolish and uneducated he thinks they are.”
She expressed this sentiment on Monday.
See below:
“This confirms what I initially thought about him,” the “Super Bass” artist remarked. “He holds a significant position that he has neither earned nor deserves.”
Minaj noted that the governor tended to slow his speech and adopted a “disjointed rhythm” when speaking with Black individuals, referring to it as the “wildest aspect” of the footage.
“The strangest part of this clip, which will stay with him forever? He seriously slows down his speech and talks in a disjointed manner,” she stated.
“He doesn’t just imply that they might be uneducated. He actually begins to slow down his speech as if to help them grasp the words better, almost as if he’s speaking to children!” the “Starships” artist exclaimed.
“It’s as if he genuinely believes they’re simple-minded. He didn’t just misspeak; he truly thinks this!” Minaj added.
The “Anaconda” singer then directly asked her Black fans, “Do you love me?!?!!! Just love you, Black people?!????”
According to Breitbart News, Minaj recently expressed that she is “probably” one of President Donald Trump’s “biggest supporters,” noting, “And that won’t change,” while explaining that the “hate” she receives from the left only strengthens her support for Trump.
Minaj had previously shown her backing for Trump late last year, commending his administration for its efforts to address the persecution of Christians in Nigeria.
In the meantime, her fans seem to be rallying behind her, as many took to social media to announce her recent affiliation with the Republican Party.
