Jack Hughes Faces Challenge in Retrieving ‘Golden Goal’ Puck

Jack Hughes will need to be inventive if he hopes to reclaim the puck from his memorable goal. Simply asking for it isn’t going to cut it.

On Wednesday, it was reported that the puck has been transferred to a charitable organization based in Canada, which has some legal documentation regarding the donation.

“We insured it, preserved it, and saved everything. It becomes part of our facility,” a representative explained.

Hughes expressed his frustration with ESPN on Tuesday for not having the puck that clinched the game.

“I’m trying to get it back. I mean, it’s ridiculous. In my opinion, the Hockey Hall of Fame shouldn’t have it,” Hughes remarked. “Why do they possess that puck?”
