Hockey influencer asked women about their choice of which Hughes brother to kiss

There’s some interesting fun happening here.

A hockey influencer held a poll among women during an Olympic viewing party to see which Team USA Hockey player they would kiss “for good luck in future games.”

Nicky Anderson decided to make it a playful event—she printed large photos of three players she thought were attractive: brothers Jack Hughes and Quinn Hughes, along with Noah Hanifin. She set up this little activity at Helmsman Ale House in Newport Beach, California.

Patrons were invited to kiss cutouts of their favorite players, and soon enough, one particular player was the clear favorite.

“Jack walked away with the most,” Anderson told the Post after the U.S. team triumphed over Slovakia, putting them in line for a shot at Olympic gold.

Some patrons playfully claimed Jack as their “boyfriend,” with one participant saying, “Oh, yeah, Jack is my boyfriend. I’m going to kiss him.”

Jack, who plays center for the New Jersey Devils, has reportedly been seen with Canadian pop star Tate McRae, although neither has confirmed the relationship, which leaves him, I suppose, still available.

Anderson pointed out, “There are pictures of them enjoying coffee together, but it’s not official, so he’s technically single.”

She observed that most women had a favorite Hughes brother, which was interesting to see unfold. Anderson mentioned how many women favor Jack, while others firmly declared, “I’m totally a Quinn fan.” It’s kind of fascinating how everyone seems to pick a side.

Her Instagram video of the kissing contest, titled “REDWHITE&HUGHES,” has garnered around 380,000 views, and it appears that every woman had a clear preference.

“It’s interesting; very few people say, ‘I like both.’ Everyone has their own take, and I find that really engaging,” she said.

Anderson, once a die-hard Anaheim Ducks fan, began sharing her love for hockey last year after realizing there weren’t many women discussing the sport online.

“Last season, I started attending Ducks games and noticed there were hardly any girls talking about hockey on social media,” she explained. “I thought, ‘Why not document my experiences? Let’s get people excited about this!’ And it all began from there.”

The U.S. Olympic men’s hockey team is set to face Canada in the upcoming gold medal match.
