Fox News Kicks Off Holiday Season with Tree Lighting
Fox News Media celebrated the start of the holiday season on Friday by hosting its annual “All American Christmas Tree” lighting ceremony, streamed live from Fox Square in New York City.
The event, now in its sixth year, was hosted by the co-hosts of “The Five”—Dana Perino, Greg Gutfeld, Jesse Watters, Jessica Tarloff—and “Fox & Friends” co-host Lawrence Jones. The tree itself stands at an impressive 50 feet and is adorned with over 300,000 lights and nearly 20,000 ornaments. Topping it off is a six-foot dove, lit up by an additional 4,800 lights. The decoration was done by American Christmas, a holiday display company from Mount Vernon, New York.
The ceremony featured prayers offered by Rev. Franklin Graham and Cardinal Timothy Dolan, along with a message from Rabbi Kalman Samuels of Jerusalem. Not to mention, FOX News’ own Steve Doocy greeted Grammy-winning Christian music star Chris Tomlin. The Christian Cultural Center Choir performed beloved holiday songs like “Angels We Have Heard on High” and “Silent Night.” Tomlin, who previously performed at Charlie Kirk’s memorial service, mentioned how “powerful” that experience was.
Attendees included many members of the FOX News family such as Martha McCollum, Bill Hemmer, and Ainsley Earhart. Santa Claus also made a delightful appearance, chatting with children about their Christmas wishes.
Fox News Media collaborates with Samaritan’s Purse and the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve’s Toys For Tots initiative. This holiday season, employees donated over 2,000 gifts for children in need. Viewers interested in contributing can do so through a link associated with Toys For Tots.
