Hollywood Director Jim Jarmusch Blames Deadly L.A. Wildfires on ‘Climate Deniers’: ‘Wake the F*ck Up’

Hollywood director Jim Jarmusch has blamed “climate deniers” for the deadly Los Angeles wildfires and asked people to “wake up.”

“I know we're all worried about our friends in Los Angeles,” Jarmusch said before presenting filmmaker Sean Baker with the award for best screenplay for a 2024 film. I cut it out. anoraat the New York Film Critics Circle Awards on Wednesday night in New York City.

Jarmusch's comments then took a bizarre turn, blaming so-called “climate change” skeptics for the wildfires.

“This climate crisis is being brought about by climate change deniers and despicable corporate greed,” Jarmusch declared.

“We are in a time where clowns are saying that being woke is a negative thing. I just want to say it's time to wake up,” the director added.

But others have criticized California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) and other Democratic leaders for failing to prepare for the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles, many of which have not yet been refilled. It points out that there is no such thing.

As Breitbart News reported, the wildfire broke out Tuesday morning and spread rapidly due to strong winds, forcing residents to evacuate, causing historic destruction to homes and displacing tens of thousands of people.

In an emergency press conference on Tuesday, Governor Newsom oddly expressed gratitude for the “absent” leadership of Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass during her time in Africa.

Thursday marks the third day since the devastating wildfires in Los Angeles.

As of this writing, there are five wildfires burning simultaneously in the Pacific Palisades, Sunset, Eaton, Hearst and Lydia areas, according to the report. calfireIt lists the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, and Sunset Fire with zero containment.

Meanwhile, the Hearst Fire is 10% contained, and the Lydia Fire is 60% contained.

Five people have also been confirmed dead, one of whom was identified Wednesday as 66-year-old Victor Shaw, who died trying to protect the home that had been in his family for nearly 55 years.
