On Tuesday's broadcast of NewsNation's “The Hill,” Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-Texas) said incoming border czar Tom Homan “knows what needs to work.” He said he would be happy to discuss it with him. He said this is not necessarily different from the Biden administration. I listened to him and said, “We can quickly deport people under Title VIII. They can stay in Mexico.” There's a lot you can do about policies that have immediate effects. ”
Mr. Cuellar said:[T]There's a lot we can work on here. Let's take a look at some details. But certainly, we can export. People can be quickly deported under Title VIII. You can also stay in Mexico. There are many things that can be done immediately when it comes to policy. In fact, I was in touch with Tom today and we talked about getting together when I get back to Washington DC in the next week or so. ”
Furthermore, he added: Sometimes the current administration doesn't listen to me. ” And Homan responded to his assistance by saying, “Tom knows what needs to work and I can give him my experience.”
Cuellar also said some Democrats should be willing to talk to Homan.
